USE NOVELIST TO DISCOVER AUTHORS AND TITLES.

Ebsco Novelist is one of the many databases that the Northfield Public Library provides for your use.
Under "Local Resources," scroll down to Ebsco Novelist and begin searching for new authors and titles.  Have you ever read a book and wished you could read a similar author?  Have you ever read a book and wished you could read more fiction in that setting or time frame?  If so, Novelist is for you.
Ebsco Novelist is a fiction database that provides subject access, reviews read-a-alikes book discussion guides and much more for over 125,000 fiction titles.  We also have Novelist for grades
K - 8.  Our library staff has found this very helpful when both children and adults want to discover new books that fit their taste.
     You can search an author and read a description of the author's type of work, the book appeal terms, the genre, storyline and tone.  Novelist lists all of the authors works.  Title read alikes are availalbe.  This is a very useful feature if you know what you like to read and want to find similar authors or titles.
      Do you have a title you like?  You can also search by titles and read reviews, and see read alikes.
      You can also search for subject.  For example, maybe you like World War II books set in Great Britain.  You can specify these subjects and Novelist will provide a complete list.
