The Minnesota Book Awards were presented last Saturday at the Crown Plaza Hotel in St. Paul.
The evening festivities included appetizers, wine, coffee, dessert, champagne and music.
The winners for the 2012 book awards are:

Genre fiction: Richard A. Thompson – Big Wheat
Memoir and creative nonfiction: Nancy Paddock – A Song at Twilight: Of Alzheimer’s and Love
Minnesota: Julie L’Enfant – Pioneer Modernists: Minnesota’s First Generation of Women Artists
Novel and short story: Gregory Blake Smith – The Law of Miracles and Other Stories
Poetry: Ed Bok Lee – Whorled
Young Adult: Brian Farrey – With or Without You
Reader's Choice Award: Kurtis Scaletta – The Tanglewood Terror
