Thinking About Purchasing An E Reader?

If you are thinking about purchasing an e reader for yourself or for a gift, come by the Northfield Public Library this week and next (Monday, November 21 - Saturday, December 3)  and look at sample
e readers, including Nooks, Kindles, a Sony e reader and an Ipad.  Reference staff members have compiled an information sheet explaining some of the differences in the device. Come and check out the sample devices and see which one fits your needs.  A demonstration table is set up near the entrance, across from the checkout desk.  Did you know that you can download books from the librar,y using the program Overdrive,  to your e reader?  Books can be checked out for three weeks.  If you are unsure how to download the books or have questions, set up an appointment with one of our college student workers and they will take you through the process step by step.  Contact the Reference desk to set up an appointment.
