In mid October three librarians from the Northfield Public Library went to the Minnesota Libary Association Conference in Duluth. For three days, we attended sessions on topics of interest to libaries, including helping patrons find jobs, helping patrons use new techonology, e books, and readers advisory.
I participated in the reader's advisory session titled "50 in 60 Book Blast." Five librarians booktalked 50 books in 60 minutes. The book categories were

2. Best New YA Fiction
3. Sci-fi/fantasy
4. Paranormal
5. Contemporary Women Writers
